Famous for their enormous food (beef) donations to the Portland Shriners Hospital during the Shriners Food Caravan in October are a member of Al Kader Shrine Temple, # 46 of Portland OR.

The Harney County Shrine Club is located in Burns, Oregon. Their devotion to the support of the Portland Shriners Hospital for Children, which specializes in comprehensive orthopedic care and is one of 22 Shriners Hospitals that provide free specialized medical care to children, is, 2nd to none.

Order of Eastern Star
The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both men and women may belong. Worldwide, there are approximately 1 million members under the General Grand Chapter.
Burns Chapter #40
The Burns OES Chapter was the 40th Chapter to be established in Oregon. Our first Worthy Matron was Nellie R. Grace and Abner W. Waters was the first, Worthy Patron.
Burns OES Chapter received its Charter September 2, 1895 and was recognized by OES Grand Chapter on June 9, 1896, in Portland. The Worthy Grand Matron was Margaret E. Kellogg, and J. H. Bridgeford was Worthy Grand Patron.
The Chapter meets on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of each month (except July & August) at 2:00 pm at the Robert Burns Masonic Lodge at 1212 Taylor St. in Burns.
